Daniel Adelberg, M.D.
Dr. Daniel Adelberg specializes in medical, laser, and surgical therapy of diseases of the Retina and Vitreous.
Dr. Adelberg completed a two year fellowship at Barnes Hospital of Washington University Medical Center in St. Louis and has expertise in the management of diseases such as macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal detachment, intraocular tumors, and uveitis. Dr. Adelberg's research has been presented at national ophthalmologic meetings and published in medical journals. He has received a patent for his invention in ophthalmic surgery.
Prior to his medical education, Dr. Adelberg received a research scholarship at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He received his undergraduate and medical education at Boston University. After an internship in Internal Medicine at Beth Israel Hospital / Harvard Medical School, he went on to complete his residency in Ophthalmology at New York University Medical Center.
Dr. Adelberg is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He is also a member of the American Society of Retina Specialists and the Phoenix Ophthalmological Society. He is a board member of the Foundation Fighting Blindness.
Dr. Adelberg's dedication to preserve and restore vision has been inspired by two family members who are blind from hereditary retinal degeneration. He and his wife, Sara-Jane and three sons currently reside in Scottsdale.
