William Miles, M.D.

Dr. Benjamin Chun is a Board Certified Ophthalmologist with the American Board of Ophthalmology, with a primary surgical interest in Cataract surgery.

Dr. Chun graduated with an MD from a combined program from Dartmouth and Brown University. During his medical school training, he joined the Health Professional Scholarship Program with the United States Army.

An internship at Tripler Army Medical Center in Hawaii was followed by a tour of General Medical Officer at MacDonald Hospital in Ft. Eustis Virginia. He then attended Flight School training at Ft. Rucker Alabama. After completing the training, he participated in an overseas tour in Korea as a Flight Surgeon for the 501st Aviation Battalion for a year.

He was chosen for the Ophthalmology residency program at Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, Washington. Following the completion of the residency program, he was stationed in Korea again, but this time as the only military ophthalmologist in the entire peninsula, where he served as the Chief of the Eyes, Ears and Nose Clinic for three years.

Dr. Chun is fluent in Korean. In his free time, he enjoys volleyball, snowboarding and traveling.
