Ali Ghafouri, M.D., FACS
Dr. Ghafouri specializes in ophthalmic plastic and reconstructive surgery and ocular oncology.
His primary surgical interests include cosmetic surgery of eyelids and brows, reconstruction of eyelids and orbit, treatment of lacrimal system disorders, and surgical treatment of eyelid tumors. He also performs laser facial resurfacing, and Botox injections. Dr. Ghafouri is uniquely qualified to evaluate and manage oculoplastic disorders in both children and adults.
Dr. Ghafouri received his undergraduate and medical education at Michigan State University. He completed his residency in ophthalmology at the Cornell University College of Medicine-North Shore University Hospital, and a fellowship at the Cullen Eye Institute-Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. Dr. Ghafouri's research has been presented at national ophthalmologic meetings and published in medical journals.
Dr. Ghafouri is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. He is a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology, and American Medical Association.
Dr. Ghafouri is a Fellow of the Amercian College of Surgeons.
Dr. Ghafouri resides in Scottsdale, Arizona. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, hiking, reading, and sports.
