Jeffrey Tennant, M.D.
Dr. Jeffrey Tennant practices general ophthalmology. He has special interests in cataract surgery with intraocular lens implants and in glaucoma.
Dr. Tennant graduated from the University of Illinois in Chicago and did his internship and residency at the Cook County (now Stroger) Hospital. He began practicing in 1974. His peers twice elected him president of the Illinois Association of Ophthalmology. He wrote a column for Ocular Surgery News, a national publication for ophthalmologists, for ten years.
Dr. Tennant has been married to his wife, Noreen, since 1983. They have four children: David, Hilary, Andrew, and Bradley. In his spare time, Dr. Tennant enjoys reviewing published analysis of grandmaster chess games.
