Kristia Owens, OD

Dr. Kristia Owens enjoys providing all areas of optometric care. Her special interests are in ocular disease management and pediatric vision care.

Dr. Owens received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of California, Davis and her Doctor of Optometry from the Illinois College of Optometry. While at the Illinois College of Optometry, she was a member of the Tomb and Key Honor Society and received several honors, including recognition for her contact lens fitting skills. Dr. Owens has been practicing in Mesa since 1989.

She is currently Adjunct Assistant Professor for the Southern California College of Optometry and the Illinois College of Optometry. Dr. Owens is a member of the Arizona Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association. In addition to other community activities, she donates her time to Vision USA and InfantSee, which are national programs offering free eye care to people in need.

Away from work, she enjoys camping and kayaking with her two boys.
