Matthew Palmer, O.D.
Dr. Matthew Palmer provides comprehensive optometric care with emphasis in the diagnosis, treatment and management of ocular disease, pre and post-surgical care, prosthetic eye fitting and low vision rehabilitation. His skills using the latest technologies to fit prosthetic eyes and his expertise as a doctor of optometry provide exceptional results in both the appearance and management of the eye.
Dr. Palmer was born and raised in Mesa, AZ and received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Arizona State University. He earned his Doctor of Optometry from Southern California College of Optometry where he received honors for clinical excellence in low vision rehabilitation and management of ocular disease. He completed externships at the Center for the Partially Sighted in Los Angeles, CA, Hu Hu Kam Memorial Hospital in Sacaton, AZ and Southwestern Eye Center in Casa Grande, AZ.
Dr. Palmer is licensed by the Arizona State Board of Optometry and is a member of the Arizona Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association.
Dr. Palmer and his wife Lindsay have four children: Brooklyn, Blake, Gavin, and Preston. He spends his free time with them and also enjoys camping, hiking, reading and photography. Dr. Palmer is fluent in both Spanish and Portuguese.
