R. Scott Sellers, O.D.
Dr. R. Scott Sellers provides all aspects of optometric care, with a special emphasis in the diagnosis and management of ocular disease. Being a long-time diabetic himself, Dr. Sellers has a strong passion for helping fellow diabetics in controlling their disease and maintaining healthy eyes and good vision. He has been actively involved in community outreach programs and training seminars on understanding and living with diabetes.
Dr. Sellers was born and raised in Mesa and has a long history of Arizona ancestors. He attended Arizona State University and then earned his Doctor of Optometry degree from Pacific University, where he received Pacific's Outstanding Graduate of the Year Award. While attending Pacific, Dr. Sellers completed externships at a variety of well-known locations specializing in ocular disease, pre- and postoperative surgical care and primary eye care with an emphasis on contact lenses.
Dr. Sellers is licensed by the Arizona State Board of Optometry and is a member of the Arizona and American Optometric Associations.
Dr. Sellers and his wife Melissa have six wonderful children and reside in Casa Grande. In his free time he enjoys hanging out with his wife and kids, watching movies and playing just about any sport he can. Dr. Sellers is also fluent in Spanish after spending two years of his life in the beautiful country of Venezuela.
