Polarized Lenses:
Polarized lenses are the ultimate sunglasses for fisherman and drivers. Polarizing a lens causes the reflected light off shiny surfaces to be filtered out. If you are a fisherman the light reflected off the surface of the water will be filtered out allowing you to see into the water below. For drivers reflections off the road and the hood of the car are blocked out allowing the driver to see in difficult glare situations.

Photosensitive Lenses:
Transition, photogrey and other sensor lenses are available in a variety of materials for those who want to combine a number of functions into one lens. Arizona residents should be aware that photosensitive lenses do not function as well in high temperatures and since about half of the activating UV rays are filtered by windshields they do not go as dark inside the car.

Sun Tints:
Most plastic lenses can be custom dyed to a number of colors and densities. Consult with our optician to find the best combination for your needs.

Progressive No-Line Bifocals:
The progressive bifocal is one of the most popular options for the over 40 crowd. The lens is more than a bifocal without the line. It has a full range of power from distance correction to near with all points in-between. So whether your working on a computer, shopping, or reading a medicine bottle the progressive bifocal lens is for you.

Progressive lenses are not created equal. If you have had problems in the past with a progressive lens discuss it with our Doctor and our Optician. We carry several high quality progressive lenses that minimize adaptation problems.

Computer Progressive Lens:
We carry a progressive lens designed for those who require a wide field of view while working on the computer. The "distant" portion is clear to about 6 ft. away. The near works at the normal reading distance. If you spend a large amount of time working at the computer discuss this lens with our doctor and optician.
