Telehealth has been underway for quite some time now. Researches have been trying to find ways for doctors and their patients to communicate through technology instead of coming into the office for each and every visit. In Oklahoma, a doctor practiced Telehealth by Skyping with his patients. He would provide his services, and even prescribe medicine through the Skype call. Unfortunately, the physician made a Skype call to a patient, prescribed medicine, and the patient ended up dying. Was this due to the doctor communicating through Skype and not having the patient come in for a proper check-up?
