Dr. Christensen provides comprehensive eye exams and has a special interest and expertise in managing ocular diseases such as macular degeneration, glaucoma, and diabetic retinopathy.

He was born and raised in Waco, Texas. He received a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Brigham Young University in Provo, UT. He then earned his Doctor of Optometry degree from Midwestern University College of Optometry in Glendale, AZ. While attending optometry school, he was a member of the Student Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity where he was a part of an optometric humanitarian trip to Mexico. Dr. Christensen completed an ocular disease residency at the Doris Miller VA Medical Center in Waco, TX, where he managed complex ocular diseases, urgent cases and precepted optometry students.

Outside of work, Dr. Christensen loves spending time with his wife and four daughters, lifting weights, playing sports, and hiking.
