Dr. Christensen provides comprehensive eye exams with a special interest in managing ocular diseases such as macular degeneration, glaucoma, and diabetic retinopathy. He is skilled in treating complex ocular conditions and delivering personalized eye care to support lifelong vision health.
Education and Medical Training
Dr. Christensen earned his bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Brigham Young University in Provo, UT, before completing his Doctor of Optometry degree at Midwestern University College of Optometry in Glendale, AZ. While in optometry school, he participated in the Student Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity, where he joined an optometric humanitarian trip to Mexico.
He then went on to complete an ocular disease residency at the Doris Miller VA Medical Center in Waco, TX. There, he managed complex ocular diseases, urgent eye care cases, and also precepted optometry students.

Personal Interests
Dr. Christensen was born and raised in Waco, Texas. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and four daughters. He also loves lifting weights, playing sports, and hiking.
