Brian Petracca, O.D.

Relaxed, thoughtful and detail oriented, Dr. Brian Petracca provides his patients with a positive experience every day. Brian’s down-to-earth attitude and love of teaching make his chair-side manner a pleasure for patients. Dr. Petracca enjoys managing patients with dry eye, glaucoma and neurological conditions affecting the visual system. He earned a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Montana State University, completed optometry school at Pacific University and fulfilled his residency at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Albuquerque, N.M.

Dr. Petracca was a staff optometrist at a rural hospital in the middle of the Navajo Reservation for three years. He then moved to Idaho to work in a private practice and held a managerial position for the Nez Perce (Nimiipuu) Healthcare Facility.

Originally from Aztec, N.M, Brian is excited to be back in sunny New Mexico. He looks forward to assisting patients and having his family be actively involved in the community. His joy for traveling, hiking and learning about different cultures is second to his love of his wife, Jennifer, and their two daughters, Savannah and Naomi.
