James Hooper, O.D.

Dr. James Hooper practices full-scope optometry, with an emphasis on treatment and management of ocular disease, pre- and post-surgical care, contact lenses and general eye care, including pediatrics.

Dr. Hooper was born and raised near Safford, Arizona. He attended Eastern Arizona College and Arizona State University, where he majored in chemistry. He graduated from Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Philadelphia. He completed externships at Hu Hu Kam Memorial Hospital, Phoenix Indian Medical Center, Hellerstein and Brenner Vision Center and Northern Navajo Medical Center.

Dr. Hooper lives in Sierra Vista where he has practiced optometry since 2007. He is licensed by the Arizona State Board of Optometry, and is certified to use topical and oral medications for a variety of eye diseases.

Dr. Hooper enjoys spending time with his wife, Megan, and his children. His hobbies include hiking, camping, fishing and watching sports.
