Clinical Expertise

Dr. Pugh provides comprehensive primary eye care for patients of all ages. His special interests include the management and treatment of ocular trauma, red eyes, glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetes, as well as pre- and post-operative surgical care. He also enjoys recommending eyewear suited to each patient’s unique hobbies and lifestyle needs.

Education and Medical Training

Dr. Pugh earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Public Health from Brigham Young University and his Doctor of Optometry degree from Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona. He completed extensive clinical training with the Indian Health Services and the United States Air Force, along with additional experience in several private practices throughout the valley.

Dr. Pugh is fluent in Spanish and is recognized for his commitment to serving diverse patient populations through compassionate, individualized eye care. He also proudly participates as a provider in the InfantSEE® program, offering free comprehensive eye assessments for infants to promote early vision development.

Born and raised in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, Dr. Pugh values community, culture, and outdoor experiences. He brings this same appreciation for connection and balance to his patient care.
