Bailey Yee, O.D.
Dr. Bailey Yee was born and raised in San Jose, California. He studied at the University of California, Davis, where he received his undergraduate degree with a bachelor’s of science degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and a minor in Asian American Studies. Dr. Yee then studied at Midwestern University, Arizona College of Optometry, and graduated with Clinical Honors.
Following Optometry School, Dr. Yee completed his residency in Ocular Disease at W.G. (Bill) Hefner VA Medical Center in Salisbury, North Carolina. During his residency, he focused on treatment and management for Diabetic Retinopathy, Age-related macular degeneration, and Glaucoma. He is also trained in fitting medically necessary contact lenses and treating low vision.
As an optometrist, Dr. Yee strives to give holistic care, whether that means encouraging diabetic patients to follow up with their primary care to improve their blood sugar, or to fit patients with contact lenses that boost their self-confidence. He is an optometrist who takes pride in going to work every day to take care of not only his patients’ eyes and vision, but also to care for them as a whole.
In his free time, Dr. Yee enjoys trying new foods, hiking with his Shiba Inu, and exploring new cities. Please let him know if there are any new, good restaurants in town!
