Southwestern Eye Center was established in Mesa, Arizona, by Dr. Lotthaire Bluth.
Dr. Bluth pioneered the concept of bringing the doctor to the patient by providing comprehensive eye care to rural areas throughout Arizona.

The Falcon Field office becomes Southwestern Eye Center’s first ophthalmic Ambulatory Surgery Center.

Dr. Bluth and his team began taking trips to Chihuahua, Mexico. They gave back to the community by conducting exams for general eye care and age-related cataracts.

The Deming clinic is the first office opened in New Mexico.

Southwestern Eye Center partnered with Barnet Dulaney Perkins Eye Center as a founding practice in the American Vision Partners network.
