Announcement Regarding Our Contract with BlueCross BlueShield Arizona
As a healthcare provider, we strive to provide our patients with the best eye care possible. In order for us to be able to continue to provide that care to our patients, we need to ensure that our reimbursement from the various health plans covers the cost for us to provide that care.
During the last few months, we have been working diligently with your particular health plan, BlueCross BlueShield Arizona, to more fairly balance the reimbursement of your eye care services. Despite our efforts, we have not reached an agreement yet. If we don’t reach an agreement soon, Southwestern Eye Center will be out of network.
If you are still insured with BlueCross BlueShield Arizona as your health plan, this means that your provider at Southwestern Eye Center may not be accepting their insurance plan if we don’t reach an agreement. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
You may search for a contracted provider on the BlueCross BlueShield Arizona website which is located at www.AZblue.com. Or, you can call them directly at 602-864-4117 to find a contracted provider.
At this time, there is no need to cancel any appointments. If we are not able to come to an agreement, we will follow up with you directly about your scheduling options.
