Gillian Claveria-Ooms, O.D.

Dr. Gillian Claveria-Ooms provides comprehensive eye services including diabetic eye care, glaucoma, dry eye disease management, and postoperative care.

Dr. Claveria-Ooms graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in general biology from Grand Canyon University and graduated with distinction from Pacific University of Oregon College of Optometry.  During her training she completed externships at the Bellevue Vision Clinic, Branch Health Clinic Makalapa in Pearl Harbor, HI, and the White City VA.  She was awarded the Armed Forces Health Professions Scholarship for optometry school through the US Navy.  After graduation, she served as an active duty Naval officer for eight years and was stationed in Naval Hospital Twentynine Palms, US Naval Hospital Okinawa, and Naval Branch Health Clinic Key West and was deployed on the USNS Mercy for Pacific Partnership 2015.  She currently serves in the US Navy Reserves.  Most recently she worked at Naval Hospital Jacksonville prior to joining Southwestern Eye Center.
