Jetal Patel, O.D.
Dr. Jetal Patel is an optometrist that provides comprehensive optometric care. She is residency trained in ocular pathology with an emphasis in the treatment and management of ocular diseases, pre and post- surgical care, and specialty contact lenses.
Dr. Patel received her undergraduate education at the University of Arizona, and obtained her Doctor of Optometry degree at University of Missouri. Externship experience includes a rotation at the Harry Truman Memorial Veteran's Hospital and the Optometric Low Vision Clinic in St. Louis. She completed her residency training at Northeastern State University where she gained experience at the Hastings Indian Health Hospital. Professional experience include ocular surgery co-management, specialty contact lens fitting, diagnosis and management of ocular disease, ocular trauma and primary care optometry.
Dr. Patel is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Arizona Optometric Association and past member of the Oklahoma and Texas Optometric Associations and BSK, an Optometric Honor Fraternity.
Community service include participating in VOSH trips, an organization providing free eye care in developing countries. Also, providing vision screenings and eye health lectures at inner city schools.
Dr. Patel lives in Peoria with her husband and enjoys outdoor activities, traveling and reading. She speaks English and Gujurati fluently and some Hindi, Spanish and French.
